There’s a reason Discovery Park is one of Seattle’s favorite places for portraits. From peaceful forest trails and open meadows to dramatic coastal views and driftwood-covered beaches, it offers an incredible variety of scenery in one unforgettable location. These Discovery Park couple photos captured not only the beauty of the Pacific Northwest but also the playful personalities of a couple who truly know how to have fun together.

From the moment we met, it was obvious these two didn’t take themselves too seriously. They were constantly laughing, joking with each other, and embracing every moment of the session. Their goofy, carefree personalities made every photograph feel genuine, and instead of posing perfectly, they simply enjoyed being together. Those authentic moments are always the ones that tell the best story.

Of course, they weren’t the only stars of the evening. They brought along their adorable, playful pup, who was just as full of personality as they were. Whether running through the grass, exploring the trails, or happily joining in for a few portraits, their four-legged companion added even more fun and made the session feel even more personal.

One of my favorite things about photographing at Discovery Park is how quickly the scenery changes. Within a short walk, couples can experience lush Pacific Northwest forests, open meadows, rugged beaches, and breathtaking views of Puget Sound. Every location offers a different backdrop, making each session feel unique while showcasing some of the best natural scenery Seattle has to offer.

As the evening light settled over the shoreline, the park became even more beautiful. The soft coastal glow, gentle waves, and iconic driftwood created the perfect setting for relaxed, romantic portraits. Combined with this couple’s playful energy—and the occasional appearance of their goofy pup—it made for an evening filled with laughter, authentic moments, and photographs that truly reflected who they are.
