Olympic Rooftop Pavilion Wedding

A Full-Day Seattle Celebration Filled With Love, Laughter, and Dancing

Some weddings are beautiful because of the venue. Others are unforgettable because of the people, the energy, and the moments that happen throughout the day. This Olympic Rooftop Pavilion wedding was one of those celebrations where everything came together perfectly—a stunning Seattle location, an incredible couple, and a room full of people ready to celebrate.

Alex and Kirsten chose full-day wedding coverage with my Stevendore Collection, capturing 10 hours of storytelling throughout their wedding day. They even added an additional hour at the end of the night because they wanted every last dance move, laugh, and unforgettable moment documented. It was the perfect decision because the celebration only got better as the night continued.

The day began with relaxed getting-ready moments that perfectly reflected their personalities. The guys enjoyed some friendly competition playing PlayStation, while the girls celebrated together with champagne and plenty of excitement before the ceremony. These quiet moments before the celebration began helped tell the complete story of the day.

Before heading to the venue, Alex and Kirsten shared a beautiful first look outside Hotel Ballard. It was an emotional and intimate moment before the day moved into full celebration mode. From there, we explored one of their favorite Seattle neighborhoods—Ballard—for wedding party portraits. The streets, architecture, and character of the neighborhood created a fun and personal backdrop that felt connected to their lives together.

The celebration continued at Olympic Rooftop Pavilion, one of Seattle’s most stunning rooftop wedding venues. With incredible views, modern design, and an unforgettable atmosphere, it was the perfect setting for their ceremony and reception.

After the ceremony, the couple enjoyed a relaxed hour-and-a-half cocktail hour with their guests. Because all family and wedding party portraits were completed beforehand, Alex and Kirsten were able to truly enjoy this part of their wedding day instead of being pulled away for photos. They laughed, had drinks, visited with friends and family, and soaked in the experience they had worked so hard to create.

The reception décor was elegant and intentional, with beautiful yet simple details brought together flawlessly by It’s All in the Details. Every element felt refined, thoughtful, and perfectly matched the atmosphere of the evening.

The speeches were heartfelt, emotional, and filled with stories that brought both laughter and tears. But once the formalities ended, the party officially began.

And what a party it was.

The dance floor stayed packed for hours as guests celebrated with incredible energy. Every person in attendance seemed determined to make the most of every moment, creating one of the most fun receptions I’ve photographed. There were wild dance moves, nonstop laughter, plenty of drinks, and the kind of genuine joy that makes wedding photography so rewarding.

Near the end of the night, the celebration reached another level with late-night wood-fired pizza that everyone loved. Guests grabbed slices, returned to the dance floor, and continued celebrating well into the evening.

This Olympic Rooftop Pavilion wedding will always stand out as one of my favorite celebrations—not just because of the beautiful venue or the amazing photographs, but because of the people. Alex and Kirsten created a day that was authentic, relaxed, and completely focused on spending time with the people they love.
